Dear Parents,
Congratulations on getting your student this far in life! I can’t even imagine the amount of pizza rolls your household has gone through. My name is Mrs. Diaz-Nassaney and I am the integrated English Instructor at K Tech. Your student has made a great decision in deciding to attend courses with us. The career and academic skills that they are learning will serve them well in their future endeavors. Their education is as important to us as it is to you.
In my classroom we go in depth with real world issues and topics concerning social justice. I understand that everyone has their own experiences and ideas which is why I encourage communication and openness in discussion. I expect to have different views and beliefs from different students and parents. In my class we will respect each other and between students, families, and I it is important that we work together to develop a sense of community that is tolerant and respectful. If there is a topic that is too controversial for your student I am able to assign alternative assignments.
I hope that you will feel comfortable with keeping communication open with me which is why I invite you to contact me with any concerns or ideas that would help your student succeed in my class.
